Description
NHS Supply Chain seeks to establish a non-exclusive framework agreement for supply of structural heart valves and annuloplasty rings, bands and repair, perfusion and ventricular assisted devices including consumables to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the direct and eDirect route. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 34 400 000 however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The figures for the total estimated value are based on that initial expenditure and include a forecast for growth. This lot is for heart valves and annuloplasty rings and bands. Certain products within this lot may be classified as high cost tariff excluded devices under the NHS England High Cost Tariff Excluded Devices (HCTED) programme. Trusts who are commissioned to provide specialised services in England are directed to purchase all their requirements through a national supply system through NHS Supply Chain. Details of the product categories currently within scope of the HCTED programme, can be found using the following link: https://www.england.nhs.uk/commissioning/spec-services/key-docs/medical-devices/ In accordance with the specialised services commissioning policy, NHS Improvement and NHS England will determine which products are classified as excluded from tariff and which are made available under the NHS England High Cost Tariff Excluded Devices (HCTED) programme. Products include, but are not limited to: • annuloplasty repair device — bands (mitral and tricuspid), • annuloplasty repair device — rings (mitral and tricuspid), • beating heart — valve repair, • cardiac repair patch — biological, • cardiac repair patch — non-biological, • cardiac repair patch — biological calcification-reducing, • conduit valves pulmonary, • conduit mechanical biological and non-biological, • conduit tissue biological and non-biological, • mechanical heart valve, • tissue heart valve, • tissue heart valve — rinseless, • heart valve rapid deployment (Sutured/Sutureless), • associated products — products specific to the deployment of the valve and unique to this area. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 10.9 million in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. This lot is for perfusion, oxygenators and associated consumables. Products include, but are not limited to: • cardiopulmonary bypass (heart and lung machines + heater coolers), • oxygenators, • tubing packs, • cannulae, • associated products, • extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), • heart stabiliser, • heart positioner. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 3.2 million in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. This lot is for ventricular assist devices and total artificial heart. Certain products within this lot may be classified as high cost tariff excluded devices under the NHS England High Cost Tariff Excluded Devices (HCTED) programme. Trusts who are commissioned to provide specialised services in England are directed to purchase all their requirements through a national supply system through NHS Supply Chain. Products include, but are not limited to: • left ventricular assist device (blood pump), • right ventricular assist device (blood pump), • bi-ventricular assist device (blood pump), • sealed outflow graft, • sealed inflow graft, • LVAD controller, • VAD driver, • controller AC/AD adapter, • monitor/monitor AC adapter, • pump surgical tools (including but not limited to larger-diameter apical coring tool, sewing ring wrench, tunneler, driveline cover and hex driver), • coring knife, • coring punch, • thread protectors, • modular cable/extension cable, • driveline extension cable/cap, • external batteries/charger/charger AC adapter, • strain relief, • sewing ring, • inflow cap, • wearable accessories (including but not limited to carrying/waist/shoulder case for controller and batteries and shower/protection bag). Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 1.4 million in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement.
