The aim of the strength and balance training service is to reduce the risk of falls, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing demands on health and social care services. This service offers expert instruction for those at risk of falling to improve their muscular strength and balance to reduce the risk and fear of falls improving individuals' wellbeing and their long-term independence. The service is most used by those who are elderly and frail. The service will be recommissioned and delivered in West, Mid-, Southwest and Southeast Essex. Lot 1: The aim of the strength and balance training service is to reduce the risk of falls, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing demands on health and social care services. This service offers expert instruction for those at risk of falling to improve their muscular strength and balance to reduce the risk and fear of falls improving individuals' wellbeing and their long-term independence. The service is most used by those who are elderly and frail. The service will be recommissioned and delivered in West, Mid-, Southwest and Southeast Essex. This notice is an intention to award a contract under the competitive process. The approximate lifetime value of this award will be £3,247,899. This is an existing service that is being in regions of Essex and now being integrated into a single service across West, Mid-, Southwest and Southeast Essex. The selected provider is an existing provider in one of these regions. This service shall be provided between 1 June 2025 and 30 June 2031.
