Fusion Bead Machine
Published
Description
The University of Exeter (UoE) has a requirement to purchase a Fusion Bead Machine as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund project 'Technology Metals Technical Capability Expansion - Phase 1: Minerals Processing'. This project will provide an important component of a nationally unique Critical Minerals Equipment Hub to expand Cornwall and Isles of Scilly (CIoS) technical capability, lower analytical costs and time delays, raise through-put and accelerate RD&I across the geo-resources sector. It addresses the unique opportunity resulting from the region's endowment in technology metals (including lithium, tin and tungsten) that are critical for continued UK economic growth and to decarbonise our society. The project will be co-delivered by the Camborne School of Mines (CSM), University of Exeter, the UK's only multidisciplinary mining school, and Grinding Solutions Ltd (GSL), a leading mineral processing consultancy and "central cog" in the CIoS technology metals sector. The University requires a minimum 1-year warranty on this device, commencing from the date of goods installation, with the option to extend the warranty and to include a service contract of up to 5-years (maximum 5-year contract).
