External Defibrillation Devices and Related Equipment and Accessories to include but shall not be limited to: — Public Access AED's, — AED's with manual override for hospital use, — AED's with manual override for ambulance use, — Manual defibrillators for hospital use, — Manual defibrillators for ambulance use, — Resuscitation and simulation manikins. A free-of charge after-sales product support (helpline) service is required to support the use of all products that are supplied under the terms of the Framework Agreement. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 15 000 000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. It is estimated that the total expenditure over the lifetime of the framework (4 years) will be in the region of 60 000 000 GBP excluding VAT. The framework will cover the provision of the Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) suitable for use in hospitals, the emergency services, the education sector and public areas. These devices are designed to be able to be effectively used by a lay responder to administer life support in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. NHS Supply Chain is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. Further information in respect of the lot strategy will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement. The framework will cover the provision of the Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) with manual override suitable for use in hospitals. These devices are designed to be able to be effectively used by a lay responder or less qualified medical professional to provide life support in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest whilst in AED mode but also have the ability to be switched into manual mode for use by a professional. NHS Supply Chain is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. The framework will cover the provision of Manual Defibrillators suitable for use in ambulances. These devices are designed to be used by a professional in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest Access Use. NHS Supply Chain is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. Further information in respect of the lot strategy will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement. The framework will cover the provision of the purchase of resuscitation and simulation manikins to be used within a training environment. Included will be ALS and BLS manikins varying in age and gender ranges Access Use. NHS Supply Chain is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. Further information in respect of the lot strategy will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement.
