Markedsundersøgelse af Vagus nervestimulator

Description
The Region of Southern Denmark is assisting The Danish Healthcare Quality Institute (DHQI) in conducting a market consultation about the existence of any CE marked technologies for the treatment of cluster headache. This is the case because DHQI is conducting an assessment of non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation (nVNS) technologies for the treatment of cluster headache. The overall purpose of the DHQI is to assess new or existing health technologies to ensure most value for money in the delivery of treatments in the Danish healthcare system. A horizon scanning of international HTA-organizations revealed a single technology assessment from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) of transcutaneous non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation (gammaCore) for the treatment of cluster headache. gammaCore is a Class IIa therapeutic medical device. The treatment modality delivered by gammaCore is non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation, nVNS, (also: transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation, tVNS). As part of the evaluation, the DHQI needs to know if other companies provide this, or a similar CE marked technology. With a similar technology, we mean a technology that delivers nVNS to treat cluster headache. We do not mean implantable nerve stimulation technologies or technologies that stimulates other nerves than the vagus nerve for the treatment of cluster headache. Please contact procurement officer Kent Melgaard Nielsen, kent.melgaard.nielsen@rsyd.dk in case your company provides the abovementioned CE marked technology. You will in return be asked to provide documentation for your technology to be included in the DHQI evaluation. We will appreciate your reply on 17th of February 2025 at the latest.
