Description

Leicestershire County Council sought to put in place service level contracts for the provision of capacity to recycle kerbside collected recyclable waste from households; businesses and bring banks collected by seven District Councils within Leicestershire as well as similar recyclable waste delivered by members of the public to the Authority's Civic Amenity (CA) Sites. Successful bidders will be required to provide one or more locations for the District Councils, the Authority or their contractors to deliver such waste for recycling or for onwards transport by the successful bidder(s) to another facility for recycling. Bidders may also be expected to collect bring banks from specified locations. Due to the variety of collection methods used throughout the County it is expected that bidders should be in the position to accept both separately collected and comingled recyclable waste.
