Description

The extension and refurbishment of the former National School, Kinnegad to accommodate a new Community Library and Education and Training Centre, and Public Realm Enhancement works. The proposed development will include the following: 1. Restoration and adaption of the former National School into a Community Library and Education and Training Centre, including a two-storey rear extension and glazed links to the front and rear; 2. Alterations to the public realm including Roads and Footpaths; 3. Provision of hard and soft landscaping including a new civic space adjoining the site; 4. Installation of all associated services above and below ground to connect to the existing systems; 5. The provision of signage; 6. The provision of cycle stands 7. Ancillary Works. Lot 1: The extension and refurbishment of the former National School, Kinnegad to accommodate a new Community Library and Education and Training Centre, and Public Realm Enhancement works.The proposed development will include the following: 1. Restoration and adaption of the former National School into a Community Library and Education and Training Centre, including a two-storey rear extension and glazed links to the front and rear; 2. Alterations to the public realm including Roads and Footpaths; 3. Provision of hard and soft landscaping including a new civic space adjoining the site; 4. Installation of all associated services above and below ground to connect to the existing systems; 5. The provision of signage; 6. The provision of cycle stands 7. Ancillary Works. The contractor will be required to manage and deliver the construction, carry out the role of PSCS, required under the Construction Regulations 2013, and assist and provide final certification under the Building Control Amendment Regulations (BcAR) to the Design Team. The contractor will have to possess and be able to demonstrate relevant competency, training and experience in conservation projects of similar scale and complexity. In order to be considered Tenderer must submit form QW1 SAQ, QW1 3.4.1 and QW1 3.4.2 with all supporting documents and appendices:
