Meath County Council intend to develop a site located at No. 43 and No. 44 Brews Hill Navan, Co. Meath as a future residential development. Previous planning permission was granted for this site in 2008 for the following development: “Permission to demolish existing residence, sheds and offices, construct 4nr. retail shop units with offices at first and second floor level fronting onto Brews Hill. Also included are 7nr. 1 bed apartments and 5no. 2 bed apartments, including basement car parking, side entrance, courtyard garden, roof garden and balconies at No. 43 & No. 44 Brews Hill”. This planning permission has since expired and Meath County Council have acquired the site. The site is located within Navan Urban centre and is located along Brews Hill. Presently on the site, there are 2nr. 2 storey disused semi-detached dwellings which form part of a terraced arrangement. There are existing sheds which front onto Brews Hill located to the west of the disused buildings. To the rear of the dwellings, the eastern boundary of the site Is defined by a 2.5m high wall and the western boundary is defined by mature evergreen trees. The rear of the site, which adjoins a back lane, is defined by an existing boundary wall and gateway entrance. This back lane, which has a macadam road surface, currently serves as a vehicular entrance to rear gardens and properties along the laneway.
