Description
ESB Networks has procured a multi party contract under the qualification system for Beat the Peak Commercial Active (BTPCA). BTPCA is a unique service whereby ESB Networks sought contracted demand down services for BTPCA Events to address peak electricity demand between 16:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs on Business Days in Ireland when there is a high risk of system alert, for the 2022/23 Winter period. Lot 1: Beat the Peak Commercial Active Services can be provided by suitably qualified distribution connected customers, who are connected to the ESB Networks distribution system in Ireland, who have an MIC of 250kW or greater and who can provide a demand down service by altering their consumption pattern. The purpose of Beat the Peak Commercial Active is to support ESB Networks in its role as the Distribution System Operator (DSO) in facilitating reduced peak demand during amber alerts throughout the winter period.
