Published

Description

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is seeking to establish a contract for Tendered Electric Bus Services in Coventry going forward. Coventry's Electric (Coventry Electric Bus City) will deliver the UK's first all-electric bus town or city by the end of 2025. In line with the commitments of TfWM's Enhanced Partnership (EP 002), all local bus services operating in the city, including cross boundary routes, will be required to operate with battery electric buses. With the electrification of the commercial fleet well underway, this procurement exercise will cover TfWM's and Warwickshire cross-boundary tendered services in-line with the objectives of Coventry's Electric. It is envisaged that the duration of the Contract will be 5 years. This is subject to change however and will be confirmed at the time of tender publication.
