Description

As a result of the Covid pandemic and mass working form home, additional demand on services, the existing firewalls are not able to fulfil and meet the requirements. There is a significant risk of failure and impact on Council services. The existing firewalls are providing connectivity to 2 300 employees daily, including contact centres and emergency response centres are at capacity in terms of operating at 100 % for the vast majority of the time. The cost of moving to an alternative firewall supplier is cost prohibitive and not practical in the current situation. Replacement of core Checkpoint firewall and security hardware and software.
