Saintfield Community Association wish to create a community park that will celebrate the industrial heritage that once existed on the site, preserving the remaining heritage assets, and developing the biodiversity of the site from it's current improved pasture land to a biodiverse site for the benefit of native flora and fauna. The key construction activities include: - Construction of new paths within the field. - New access route from the Community Centre into the park. - New pedestrian bridge to link the Community Centre to the park. - Stabilisation of the existing Scheduled Monuments - Windmill, Flour Mill & Miller's Cottage. - Woodland planting. - Creation of wildflower meadows to increase biodiversity. - Installation of park benches. - Interpretation signage. - Creation of outdoor education area.
