The units come under the City Development area, and the departments administer and operate municipal parks, sports centres, and urban recreational grounds, as well as facilitate and contribute to the development of the natural environment and outdoor life in country areas. This contract is preferably for electric equipment to the degree that the market has sufficient alternatives for the contracting authority's needs. For needs that cannot be met with electric equipment, or electric equipment does not meet the need, machines and equipment will be procured with a combustion engine.
