The scheme includes the construction of a skate park, pedestrian bridge, car park, pathways and landscape works and comprises Phase 2 of the Ashbourne Linear Park. The site is located approximately 0.5km southwest of Ashbourne town centre and 150m west of Ashbourne Linear Park Phase 1. The overall proposed development consists of: • Installation of a pedestrian footbridge over the Broadmeadow River, linking the southern and northern parts of the site. The bridge comprises a single 12m clear span steel structure and 2no. precast concrete box culverts. • Design and Installation of a skatepark including play structures, surfacing, drainage, lighting, etc. • Ground Investigation works • Construction of an access road and carpark • Construction of new footpaths throughout the site • Landscaping and planting works • Associated site works including fencing, drainage and public lighting.
