2023-71 Mapping of plans for the development of broadband networks in Møre og Romsdal county

For 2023, Møre og Romsdal County has been granted a framework of NOK 17.57 million for subsidies for the development of broadband in areas that are not commercially profitable for realisation. Eight municipalities have registered areas that are relevant for financial support. Four of these municipalities have reported areas where plans for commercial development have not been finalised. Lot 1: For 2023, Møre og Romsdal County has been granted a framework of NOK 17.57 million for subsidies for the development of broadband in areas that do not currently have access to at least 30 Mb/s, and where commercial operators have no plans for development. The subsidy will be distributed by the County's culture, industry and public health committee in the autumn of 2023. The purpose of this hearing/prior information notice is to identify whether commercial operators have plans for development and/or plans that may affect broadband development in the relevant areas over the next three years. This hearing covers areas that, for various reasons, have not been included in NKOM's previous consultation. Government aid may be granted for next-generation broadband with a threshold value of at least 30Mb/s capacity, and from 2023, support may also be granted for the establishment of broadband to buildings that do not have broadband with a download capacity of at least 100Mb/s and/or credible commercial plans for the development of such broadband. Stakeholders who already have broadband services, or who have plans to develop such a broadband network in all or parts of the areas specified above within the next three years are requested to register their status via Mercell by 15 July 2023 at 12:00. For stakeholders who do not already have a network in the area, but who plan to expand within the next three years, the plans must be concrete. The contracting authority asks commercial operators who, within the next three years, have approved plans for the development of broadband in any of the areas shown in the appendices to this announcement to provide feedback on this.
