Published

Description

SMART Innovation and the FGC have agreed to create a toolkit for businesses accessing Business Wales services. The toolkit will be designed to provide guidance to business on the actions and investments they can take to support the achievement of the seven well-being goals of Wales’ Well-being of Future Generations Act (WFGA). The toolkit will be launched by June 2023. A technical consultant will be recruited to provide research and technical guidance for business around the well-being goals. SMART Innovation’s design team, S8080, will create the design and artwork of the toolkit. The FGC is seeking a consultant to develop a set of communications messages, products and a communications plan around the toolkit project. Consultancy The FGC is looking to recruit a communications consultant between January to June 2023. The deliverables for this assignment will be to: • Develop an overarching narrative for businesses in Wales on the role they can play in achieving the well-being goals of the WFGA, including testing the narrative with businesses. This narrative will inform the overarching communications around this toolkit project. • Review the key messages and language used by key stakeholders across Welsh Government policy and finance instruments to communicate the WFGA to business – to inform the creation of the narrative, set of key messages, case studies and communications plan for this project. • Review the technical guidance produced for the toolkit by the technical consultant and the FGC to ensure alignment with the overarching narrative and to ensure the toolkit’s language resonates and appeals to a business audience. • Identify with SMART Innovation, FGC Wales and the technical consultant a set of potential business case studies around businesses which are already embedding the principles of the WFGA. • Develop a set of business case studies which can be used by SMART Innovation and the FGC to promote the toolkit and promote the WFGA. • Develop a communications plan around the launch of the toolkit to promote the toolkit to a business audience, including business networks. • Develop the copy of text which can be used by the FGC to promote the toolkit on its website. • Join regular project meetings between SMART Innovation, FGC and the technical consultant. • Develop a mid-term report on progress towards the assignment’s deliverables by 31st March 2023 • Produce a final report summarising deliverables by 30th June
