Im Rahmen des Projektes "Digitale Schiene Deutschland" beabsichtig die DB InfraGO AG Schieneninfrastruktur mit digitaler Leit- und Sicherungstechnik (DLST), bestehend insbesondere aus digitalen Stellwerken und dem europäischen Zugbeeinflussungssystem ETCS sowie Bedienstandorten und Technikstandorten auszurüsten. Basis der standortübergreifenden Kommunikation dieser DLST ist das bahnbetriebliche IP-Netz. Für den sicheren Betrieb und das Management dieses Netzwerks ist ein Security Operation Center notwendig. Die Komponenten der DLST sollen mit IT-Security-Komponenten nach den Anforderungen des Vertrages ausgestattet werden, um über die IT-Security-Komponenten eine sichere Signalkommunikation zwischen den Bestandteilen und Schnittstellen der DLST zu gewährleisten
