Operation of a power plant

The University of Bradford is placing this PIN for preliminary market consultation purposes only. It is not a call for competition or formal tender. A subsequent procurement exercise may be undertaken, further information will be available on the Delta portal www.delta-esourcing.com. The University is seeking expressions of interest from the market place on a technology driven innovative partnering solution via the city centre campus Energy Centre. The University is seeking feedback from the market on a number of aspects of the project. Interested parties are asked to complete an Expression of Interest Questionnaire, details on how to do this are displayed in Section V1.3 (additional information section) of this PIN. The scope of the requirement is based around an opportunity to maximise the University Energy Centre (combined heat and power engines) facility, which has under-utilised space and which serves a large district heating scheme. The facility delivers heat and hot water to buildings on campus in addition to the Bradford Energy Quarter (a secondary suite of CHP Engines) and other energy generating facilities; PV and Biomass. We anticipate the partnership solution to incorporate additional investment on campus, new technologies, shared benefits with areas of consideration to include battery storage, dry air coolers, improved controls, participation in National Grid markets, ESCO arrangements, utility procurement and long term plant replacement strategy.
