Medical Support to Intermediate Care (MIIC)

The Trust are recommissioning an existing service to provide medical support and input to the Intermediate Care (IC) service across Torbay and South Devon. The current contract is due to lapse on 31st March 2022 and this contract will start on 1st April 2022. The contract will be for a term of 2 (two) years with an option of an additional 1 (one) year plus 1 (one) year (2+1+1). The Contract will be between the Trust and Medical Professionals to provide medical support to IC patients where it is required by the Trust IC teams or where they are referred into the Medical Professional. Working collaboratively, the Trust and Medical professionals will provide an enhanced medical care service to patients during weekdays between 08.00-18.00, with the Trust providing clinical cover over the weekend and out of hours. The Medical Professional will also be required to attend a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting to provide support to discussion about IC patients that day. Lot 1: Torquay The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust are recommissioning an existing service to provide medical support and input to the Intermediate Care (IC) service across Torbay and South Devon.
