Description

Protection of two submarine cables in the shallow waters down to a depth of around 20 meters. The length of the cable routes to be protected is approximately 11,5 km. Furthermore, Contractor will be operating in areas with significant vessel traffic due to its location close to the city of Copenhagen. This tender includes the following activities: • Investigation of potential unexploded ordnances (referred to as UXOs) and objects of potential archaeological interest in and close to the cable routes. • Protection of the submarine cables by excavation of trenches with a depth of approximately 1,2 – 1,3 meter in the seabed. • Excavation of deeper trenches for preparation of future activities in selected areas. • Installation of means for protecting of existing cables/pipes to be crossed by the route of the new submarine cables. Reestablish the seabed after cable laying by backfilling the trench with the excavated material and/or adding new material.
