TENDER FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT AGENCY IN RUTLAND

The Council is committed to the delivery of a Home Improvement Agency (HIA) Services which supports people to remain in their own home, aligned to the Rutland Adult Social Care strategy for prevention and wellbeing. The Council wishes to work in partnership with the Provider to demonstrate quality services which deliver ‘value for money’ for the residents of Rutland. The aims of this contract are: To provide a HIA Service for Rutland which delivers on the following outcomes: • Preventing admissions to hospital • Preventing admission to residential care • Supporting discharge • Preventing readmission • Preventing accidental falls • Reduce carer strain • Improve quality of life Further information on the requirement and relevant performance standards are available within the Specification. The anticipated contract commencement date is 01 10 2024. The Council proposes to enter one contract for an initial period of 60 months with the preferred supplier, with an option to extend for a further period of 36 months, making 96 months in total. Any proposed extension is subject to satisfactory performance by the supplier and in accordance with the Council’s business requirements. Any proposed extension to the contract will be agreed in writing between the Council and the supplier. The budget for this contract, including any potential extension, is £808,203.38 in its entirety (exclusive of VAT). Please Note: The Council reserves the right to reject any submissions that are over budget without further evaluation.
