Kontrakten skal sikre en effektiv og driftssikker bevilling af svagsyns og medicinsk optiske hjælpemidler. Det drejer sig i alt om samlet ca. 700 personer om året for medicinske og optiske hjælpemidler, der hver især skal tages særlige hensyn til. Det oplyste forbrug kan variere hen over kontraktperioden på baggrund af en naturlig til - og afgang af brugere. Omfanget og indholdet af leverandørens ydelse og vederlaget vil afhænge af og variere med de valg, som borgerne træffer med hensyn til fritvalgsordning i henhold til Lov om Social Service.
