Multi Supplier Framework Agreement for the Supply of Construction Consumables for Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB)

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board WWETB) (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the appointment to a Multi Supplier Framework Agreement for the Provision of Construction Consumables in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Supplies”). This public procurement competition relates to the establishment of a Multi Party Framework ("Framework") for the Provision of Construction Consumables primarily in the WWETB Training Centres. WWETB run Apprenticeship Training Programmes for Wood Manufacturing & Finishing, Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery and Brick & Stonelaying under Phase 2 of the Apprentice Training Programmes. Other courses include the Construction Ground Work Skills course under full-time training courses at Waterford Training Centre. Appendix 2 lists the primary requirements for consumable materials for the courses. The tender is divided into 4 Lots. Tenderers may submit proposals for one or more lots and must be clear on which lots they are tendering for in their response. The minimum contract awarded will be one Lot. The quantities may also be varied depending on the funding available. Tenderers may tender for one or several lots. The four lots are as follows: Lot 1 Carpentry & Joinery Lot 2 Construction Ground works Lot 3 Plastering Materials Lot 4 Plumbing It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to establish a Multi-Supplier Framework from which call-off contracts by ‘request for quotes’ will be run by the training centres as requirements arise over the lifetime of the Framework. WWETB acknowledges that the market is volatile at present with respect to timber supplies etc. Due to the increased costs for raw materials and shipping costs across the various product categories we will drawdown from the framework panel on a request for quote basis on market values at the time of order.
