(NU/2030) Replacement of Autoclaves for the Baddiley Clark Building

Description

The FMS comprises 3 research institutes and 5 teaching schools, employing over 1600 academic, technical and teaching staff. The faculty is home to world class research across a diverse range of disciplines, and aims, through its 3 research institutes, to better understand life at the molecular and cellular level, transform the research into life changing treatments and improve health and healthcare for all. We operate world class facilitates and equipment to support these research goals and are committed to maintaining these at the highest level through investment. The scope of the contract is for the delivery, installation, and commissioning of two square section autoclaves with integral heating methods, to replace an existing ageing facility currently operating in the building. The facility operates a central service offering sterilisation services to the research community within the building. The proposed autoclaves must be reliable and designed to work in shared facility where they we will be used several times a day, over 5 days a week for 45 weeks of the year. Suppliers should provide an option to purchase one further autoclave (one of either specification stated as detailed Section 3 of this ITT) which may be taken up at the time of purchase of the other two autoclaves.
