Women's Community Health Worker (WCHW) Service - Request for Information

Published

Description

Buckinghamshire Council intend on commissioning a new Women’s Community Health Worker (WCHW) Service on a pilot basis for three years from April 2025. The aims of this Service would be to improve outcomes for pregnant women, and their children, in the critical period of development from 0-5 years in groups who tend to have worse maternal and infant health outcomes, specifically women living in deprived areas and/or those from certain ethnic minority groups (primarily Black and Asian). It will do this by improving the general health of women in these Buckinghamshire communities, supporting healthier pregnancies, and promoting positive early years development.
