Aids and Adaptations Framework

Description

Newcastle City Council has a duty under the Care Act 2014 and the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 to provide adaptations for qualifying residents, in households which are either: • owned by the Council, or • households in receipt of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG). The Aids and Adaptations multi-lot Framework seeks to appoint providers who can provide appropriate equipment to meet assessed needs including, but not limited to: -Stair Lifts -Ceiling Track Hoists -Platform Lifts/ Vertical Lifts/ Step Lifts -Level Access Showers / Shower over baths / Wash-Dry toilets / Kitchens and Internal Alterations -Extensions, Room/ Garage Conversions -Access Works (Ramps, Steps, Paving etc.) Lot 1: Stair Lifts Supply and installation of stair-lifts Lot 2: Ceiling Track Hoists Supply and installation of ceiling track hoist systems. Lot 3: Platform Lifts / Vertical Lifts / Step Lifts Complete works including Platform Lifts / Vertical Lifts / Step Lifts Lot 4: General Building Works Lot 4 includes the provision of general building works split into two sections: A: Level Access Showers, Shower over baths, Bathroom modifications, Wash/ Dry toilets, Kitchens and Internal Alterations B: Extensions, Room/ Garage conversions Lot 5: Service and Repair of stair lifts, ceiling track hoists and platform lifts Service and Repair of stair lifts, ceiling track hoists and platform lifts Lot 6: Access Works Works complete for temporary ramps and steps, Permanent ramps, Paving, Shallow steps
