The framework agreement is for the supply of needle free connectors and connection systems/access devices intended to provide direct infusion of fluids or administration of medication to a patient including, including but not limited to: — Luer activated needle free connectors (including positive, negative, neutral displacement and bi-directional fluid control types) including: —— Luer lock connector —— bi-directional fluid control —— negative displacement —— arterial — negative displacement —— neutral displacement —— arterial — neutral displacement —— positive displacement —— needlefree extension sets with integrated needlefree connectors —— needlefree accessories including vial access devices, medical use stopcocks, transfer spike and bag spikes —— needlefree disinfection cap —— closed transfer system device. Needlefree connector is a device that allows connection to catheters, administration sets, and syringes without needles for the infusion of fluids or administration of medications. They also provide a safe microbial barrier for connections using Luer syringes that allow safer infusion, injection and sampling whilst maintaining a closed intravenous circuit. — Luer activated needle free connectors (including positive, negative, neutral displacement and bi-directional fluid control types) including: —— Luer lock connector —— bi-directional fluid control —— negative displacement —— arterial — negative displacement —— neutral displacement —— arterial — neutral displacement —— positive displacement —— needlefree extension sets with integrated needlefree connectors. —— needlefree accessories including vial access devices, medical use stopcocks, transfer spike and bag spikes. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 60 000 000. For the full 48 month term (if extended) the anticipated value is circa GBP 120 000 000. The values provided are for guidance only and are not a guarantee of business. A needlefree disinfection cap is a single-use device that provides passive disinfection of the needlefree port. — needlefree disinfection cap. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 2 000 000. For the full 48 month term (if extended) the anticipated value is circa GBP 4 000 000. A closed system transfer device provides a mechanically closed system that prohibits the transfer of environmental contaminants into a system and the escape of hazardous drug or vapor concentrations outside the system. — Closed Transfer System Device (CTSD). It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 10 000 000. For the full 48 month term (if extended) the anticipated value is circa GBP 20 000 000.
