The initial contract will be for Audio, Visual Content and Interactives Consultancy Services for the National Museum’s Changing Ireland Galleries, which will open in Collins Barracks in October 2024. Working with the curatorial team, any contracted company will be expected to creatively edit and conceptualize archival and newly created content into accessible, clear, and concise footage with a focus on the user experience of each AV point.  Content must be devised and delivered in agreed formats along with captioning and graphics that reflect and follow style guidelines in Drinkall Dean’s exhibition design Some of the audio and interview footage will be communicated through the Irish language. English subtitles will also be required for Irish language AV pieces and vice versa. Levels of Irish language understanding required for each lot are specified in the personnel and skills section below. It is expected that the winning tenderers will communicate with NMI’s incumbent Irish language translators and curatorial team where appropriate for the delivery of translated transcriptions. The winning tenderer should be capable of matching translated transcripts to content, and specific to Lot 3, be capable of conducting interviews in Irish.
