The Department of Civil Engineering, based at Swansea University's Bay Campus (SA1 8EN) wishes to purchase an encapsulator system and autonomous rotavapor drier as a bundled package consisting of i) a Laboratory Encapsulator Device equipped with a nozzle set to produce functionalized beads/core-shell capsules by jet-vibration technique in open conditions and ii) an Advanced Rotary Evaporator System with automation capabilities equipped with a receiving flask, evaporating flask and vacuum pump that enables automated drying of the wet capsules produced by the encapsulator.The purchase aims to provide capacities for encapsulating active ingredients and materials for R&D. For laboratory-scale research and development work in several fields, the adaptability of both devices (encapsulator plus rotary evaporator) allows the user to obtain innovative dry beads and core-shell capsules to produce capsule-based self-healing construction materials.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
