Following an internal review South Yorkshire Police (SYP) have identified the need to upgrade its interview recording systems. SYP are wanting to explore the possibility of transitioning to a full Digital Interview Recording (DIR) system. We are therefore conducting this soft market testing to help improve our understanding of the market and to get an indication of how many solutions are available in the market that have the potential to meet SYP’s requirements, whether that be as an out of the box or bespoke solution. This PIN notice is being raised in order to invite companies to participate in SYPs Soft-market testing aimed at exploring the Digital Interview Recording solutions available in the market as well as wanting to understand the viability of how newer technologies such as voice recognition could be utilised within a complete solution. The soft-market testing is designed to improve our understanding of the market and what is available as well as helping inform the specification which requires further development before we finalise our approach to the market.
