Artificial Intelligence Moderation of Social Media Accounts

Published

Description

The BBC has launched a Request For Information (RFI) exercise in relation to solutions that may exist in the marketplace for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Moderation of Social Media Accounts. The BBC generates volumes of circa 3 million comments per month across 240 social media accounts. These accounts are mainly on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and comments are of an average 200 characters per comment. The accounts cover subject matters such as rolling News and Sport, TV, Radio, Children’s (13 years+ social accounts) and more. Of the ~3M monthly comments, around 150,000 are removed for breaching guidelines. The BBC would welcome responses to this RFI in order to inform our thinking prior to any potential procurement exercise. Responding to this RFI is not a prerequisite for participation in a subsequent procurement, nor does it give any advantage in that procurement
