AI Security Institute - Industry Day
Published
Description
The AI Security Institute (AISI) is a research organisation within the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology. We are conducting research and building infrastructure to understand the capabilities and impacts of advanced AI and to develop and test risk mitigations. We are also working with the wider research community, AI developers and other governments to affect how AI is developed and to shape global policymaking on this issue. ...................................................................................................................................................... AISI is hosting an industry engagement on Wednesday 19th March 2025 in Stratford, London, UK, which will introduce the AI Security Institute, with opportunities for suppliers to meet AISI teams and industry colleagues for networking. Tickets for this event are limited due to venue capacity; tickets will be made available to suppliers at AISI's discretion, based on evidence of strong expertise and relevance to AISI's research activity. AISI is interested in meeting suppliers who specialise in: 1. Developing evaluations that elicit responses from AI models 2. Delivering studies involving human participants, i.e. testing how much access to advanced AI uplifts novices' abilities in particular tasks 3. Building infrastructure to support research on model capabilities, for example building cyber ranges, agent frameworks or agent tooling 4. Capability elicitation techniques, including through post-training of AI models 5. Technical and Governance research that could develop novel mitigations for AI risks, including on model safeguards, alignment and control measures We are currently not looking to engage with Suppliers in the following areas due to the number of other routes to market and engagement opportunities available: A. AI Digital Services B.AI Deployment C. AI Integration D. AI Licencing ...................................................................................................................................................... This is a networking opportunity only There is no requirement for Suppliers to prepare presentations for the day - it is a networking opportunity and introduction to the AI Security Institute ONLY. Neither attendance nor discussions constitute any form of pre-qualification exercise or approved supplier lists. Any future procurement exercises will be undertaken in accordance with the relevant Procurement Law. Nothing in the event or any other engagements with industry prior to a formal procurement process shall be construed as a representation as to the Authority's ultimate decision in relation to any future requirement. ...................................................................................................................................................... Additional information: Please submit your request to attend this industry day as an email entitled 'Request to attend AISI Industry Day' to: dsit.dttgcbp@dsit.gov.uk For your request for attendance to be considered, it must clearly state: Name of company Names and role titles of proposed attendees (max. 2) Company overview - Please use keywords to provide a summary of your organisation's key offerings, and how your work would contribute to AISI's research interests (max. 250 words) Note: submission of interest does not guarantee a place of attendance on the day. Additional detailed information and joining instructions will be sent out to successful attendees by 12/03/2025. ......................................................................................................................................................
