HAC6036 HIV Prevention

Description

These services will be tendered through the Framework for Prevention and Support Services related to HIV, STIs and other BBVs. This will be a Direct Award to Positive East who are the single supplier for Lot 1 on this framework. This is a 2 year contract with a possible 12+12 month extensions. The service provides HIV prevention/testing support to residents that are at high risk of HIV and supports people living with HIV. The service delivers: 1. promotion of safer sexual behaviour including rapid HIV and STI testing through outreach 2. tackle stigma across communities 3. personalised, time-focused package of support for those people living with HIV, particularly newly diagnosed cases 4. training, system leadership and peer support to residents and other organisations 5. information, advice and referral into local sexual health and HIV treatment 6. evidence-based counselling and peer support. The service will work effectively alongside other sexual health providers: GPs, sexual health service and community pharmacy to support access to treatment. Keywords: HIV Prevention
