Architectural Works • Dryline basement ceiling to insulate floors to ground floor accommodation. • Repositioning of external windows to suit new external windows. • New external doors (as selected) • New external windows (2no.) • 100-120mm external insulation with fire stops/movement joints as indicated on the plans and elevations. • 40-50mm pumped cavity insulation as indicated on the plans and elevations. • Cut back existing concrete cills prior to the refitting of windows to facilitate future external insulation works. • Removal, extension and refitting of existing RWPs & Waste pipes to facilitate the external insulation. • Extension of the existing flat roof parapets to suit the external insulation. • Remove window cills throughout and replace with larger HW timber cills to suit the repositioned windows. • Fit pre-folded air tightness tape to internal jambs and cover with MDF liner boarding. • Making good and redecoration of all affected areas. • New ground slab under the Biomas unit with new fencing to the Biomas Storage compound • Removal of the existing Gas Tank Slab and fit new ground slab with new fencing compound fencing. • Railings to the former Oil tank area. M&E works comprise of strip-out of existing boiler house including oil fired boilers and associated fuel storage, associated existing controls and pump sets on existing heating circuits and replacement with new LPG fueled modular condensing boilers, new heating controls and new circulation pumps to serve existing heating circuits throughout the school. These new boilers will act as “top-up” to provide final 10% of annual heating loading to supplement proposed containerized biomass ESCO heating (not part of this contract) and will also act as 100% backup heating to the school. There are associated electrical works including new automatic controls for the heating system and a new 4KWp PV array tied into the existing school’s electrical infrastructure.
