The Council People Plan’s vision is to have ‘A confident, empowered and inclusive workforce’ that is motivated caring and considerate. To support this vision, there are three main priorities: to attract and retain a talented and committed workforce, create a culture of engagement and wellbeing and developing our people and achieving great outcomes. Developing skills and competencies will enable our workforce to fulfil it’s potential, be innovative and creative and help shape and prepare our organisation for our ever-changing needs and achieve great outcomes for our organisation and the communities we serve. Our priorities are essential training, including statutory and role specific training, individual and team development and supporting our change programme. The Services have been divided into the following work packages (Lots): Lot 1 – Leadership and Organisational Development Lot 2 – Professional, Technical and Support Services Lot 3 – Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lot 4 – Social Care and Community Lot 5 – Environmental Sustainability and Socio-Economic Development Lot 6 - Operational Services Further details of the Framework and Lots are included in the Invitation to Tender documents available via The Chest. Lot 1: Leadership and Organisational Development Lot 1 - Provision of leadership and management development, behaviour and culture change. Coaching and mentoring. Member Development. EDI. Lot 2: Professional, Technical and Support Services Lot 2- Provision of learning and development for wide range of non-operational, enabling services that support our strategic aims such as developing digital capabilities, customer care, communication and technology, legal, financial and people and programme/project management and emergency planning and resilience. Lot 3: Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lot 3 - Supporting Health, Safety and Wellbeing ensuring the Council fully meets the legislative requirements for employees and elected members. Supports the Council’s objective to promote better health at work including work life balance, promotion of healthy lifestyle, positive mental wellbeing and the prevention of work-related stress. Lot 4: Social Care and Community Lot 4 - Health, social care and / or services that support our communities to be safe and strong. Includes adult social care, children’s services, public health, trading standards, environmental health, licensing and housing. Community power, poverty and safety. Lot 5: Environmental Sustainability and Socio-Economic Development Lot 5 -Areas related to the environment and/or sustainability. Including climate change and the challenges it presents, becoming carbon net zero, environmentally friendly travel e.g. walking and cycling, preparing our communities for severe weather events. Enhancing natural habitats, encouraging sustainable land-use and land management and biodiversity. Planning, building control, economic development and regeneration of our local areas. Lot 6: Operational Services Lot 6 - Includes specialist service delivery requirements within highways, infrastructure, transport, fleet services, parking services, street scene and waste services.
