Description
The Council's requirement is for the provision of insurance cover and insurance services (including claims handling) for its current insurance portfolio and new covers as identified within the ITT document. This requirement will be let in 8 lots as follows: Lot 1: Property and Pecuniary Insurances (including Contract Works, Business Interruption, Money and All Risks); Lot 2: Property Owners; Lot 3: Casualty Section; Lot 4: Fidelity Guarantee; Lot 5: Motor Fleet; Lot 6: Personal Accident and Travel; Lot 7: Combined Engineering; Lot 8: Towneley Hall Fine Arts Museum. Tenderers may submit a tender response for a single lot or a combination of lots. The Council reserves the right to award a single lot or a combination of lots by applying, to the tender response to each lot submitted, the evaluation methodology set out in Appendix 2 of the ITT document. Lot 1 includes the following classes of business: (a) material damage (general properties, housing stock and debris removal and professional fees); contract works; business interruption/loss of income/loss of rent; money and all risks – special property. Lot 2 includes all Industrial/commercial properties owned by or for which the Council is responsible. Lot 3 This includes the following classes of business: employers liability; public and products liability; officials indemnity; libel and slander and professional indemnity. Lot 4 includes theft by employees and elected officials, computer fraud and forgery and counterfeiting. Lot 5 includes cover for any motor vehicle the property of the policyholder or in their custody or control or for which they are legally responsible for in respect of: comprehensive risks; legal liability for death of or injury to Third Parties or damage to third party property including legal fees incurred whilst on the business of Burnley Borough Council. Cover is extended to include whilst driving for domestic and pleasure purposes in addition to the business of the Insured. Lot 6 includes accidental death or bodily injury or assault including terrorism sustained by the insured person(s). Lot 7 includes cover for damage to insured and plant and other property and engineering inspection. Lot 8 includes Towneley hall for both property and loss of gross revenue art exhibits and collections.
