Description

Purpose • Analysis of the number and type of services/programmes delivered by local authorities on behalf of Government departments and other bodies. • Analysis of the extent to which the cost of service delivery (including overheads) by local authorities, is recouped. • Using instances where costs of service delivery, such as administration, staffing or overhead costs are recouped to local authorities, to provide a range of examples of methodologies used to capture and calculate those costs. • To recommend methodologies for valuing and recouping overhead costs for a range of service delivery and project types. • This consultancy role is supported by the Local Government Finance section with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH).
