Description

Council requires insurance cover and associated claims handling services in accordance with the specification of insurances within the ITT. This section incorporates the following classes of business: — property damage, — general properties and contents, — work in progress, — business interruption — additional expenditure, — computers, — money, — fidelity guarantee, — special property all risks, — theft, — terrorism. Property insured. Buildings and loss of rent on the premises as detailed in table in Appendix 2.1. Cover required. 1) fire; 2) lightning, 3) thunderbolt, 4) explosion, 5) aircraft, 6) earthquake, 7) subterranean fire, 8) riot, civil commotion, strikers, 9) malicious persons, 10) storm, 11) flood, 12) escape of water, 13) impact, 14) subsidence or ground heave or landslip, 15) Terrorism via pool Re. This lot incorporates the following classes of business: — employers liability, — public and products liability, — officials indemnity, — land charges, — libel and slander, — public health act. Vehicles insured: — vehicles owned, leased and operated by the Insured including vehicles on hire or loan for which the Insured becomes responsible. Cover required: — comprehensive cover (accidental damage, fire, theft and windscreen) including trailers attached or detached, — cover to include whilst driving for social domestic and pleasure purposes in addition to the business of the insured. Cover required: — accidental death or bodily injury or assault including terrorism sustained by the insured person(s) during the operative times as detailed below. Cover required: — cover for damage to insured and plant and other property as detailed below. Cover required: Indemnity in respect of legal advice and the costs of representation arising out of the pursuit or defence of disputes or legal proceedings as described in the sections of cover table below in connection with the Council’s Activities within the geographical limits. Cover is currently provided on a package legal expenses policy — however the council do not take up all of the benefits — see below. Lot 8 invites “Package” bids from Suppliers in respect of the following preceding Lots, namely: — Lot 1: property (including computers, contract works, business interruption, money and all risks), — Lot 3: casualty, — Lot 4: motor fleet. Suppliers submitting a tender for this lot must ensure that they provide a response to all of the individual method statements for Lots 1, 3, and 4. In the method statement response for Lot 8, you are permitted to enhance any aspect of those quality criteria as part of the Package bid — but it must be clearly identified to which lot the enhancement relates. The winning tenders for each of the standalone Lots will be compared to the tenders received for Lot 8 using the process described below. If the standalone tenders for the lots score higher, no tender will be awarded for Lot 8 and the winning tenders for each of the standalone lots will all be successful. However, if a Lot 8 tender scores higher than the standalone lots, Lot 8 will be awarded and no award made in respect of the other lots Bids under Lot 8 will be evaluated and scored in accordance with the methodology deployed on the remaining lots.
