West Berkshire Council will be going out to tender in the summer of 2024 for Care Home services across three sites in West Berkshire.West Berkshire Council currently operate three care homes focussed on the needs of older residents – Birchwood, a 60 bed nursing care home, Willows Edge, a 35 bed residential dementia home (both in the town of Newbury) and Notrees, an 18 bed residential home in the village of Kintbury.The Council wishes to transfer the operation of these homes to another provider or providers. We plan to transfer operation to the new provider on 31st March 2025.A Meet the Buyer event will be held virtually on Tuesday 7th May 2024 at 10:30am to give potential bidders an opportunity to ask questions about the service and tendering process.
