Aftalen omfatter Ikke-destruktiv kontrol af svejsninger på stålfjernvarmerør og lodninger på kobberrør (NDT). Ikke-destruktiv kontrol af svejsninger og materialer skal udføres og rapporteres, som akkrediteret prøvning i henhold til akkreditering fra DANAK. Metoderne/undersøgelserne omfatter Visuel kontrol, Radiograf (røntgen og isotop), Vakuum, Ultralyd (både svejsekontrol og lagdelingsundersøgelse), Penetrant, Magnetprøvning og Endoskopi. Niveauet for kontrol forventes at være det samme i hele kontraktperioden, da en systematisk renovering af fjernvarmesystemet er påbegyndt.
