Description

The contracting authority is issuing this prior information notice (PIN) as a request for information (RFI) to engage with the market to gather information, in order to gain a better understanding of the options offered by the market and to gain a better understanding of the budget required to deliver our requirements. You are invited to complete our RFI to provide an outline proposal for refreshing our Data Centre at the National Library of Wales. The purpose of the RFI is to gather information on the possibilities available for renewing and refreshing the Enlli Data Centre that was originally commissioned on 16.10.2006. The outline proposal will include potential efficiency savings, in terms of server/network hardware power consumption and in terms of environmental cooling. The proposal will also include an estimate for the total cost for the proposed works. The contracting authority is issuing this prior information notice (PIN) as a request for information (RFI) to engage with the market to gather information, in order to gain a better understanding of the options offered by the market and to gain a better understanding of the budget required to deliver our requirements. It is important to note that this PIN/RFI is not a call for competition and as such you will need to express your interest in any future tender opportunity if the contract notice is published in OJEU (or any post-Brexit replacement) and on Sell2Wales. It should be noted that this PIN/RFI invites individuals and organisations to participate in this RFI exercise only, and it is not a pre-qualification questionnaire, and is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN/RFI is intended as an information gathering exercise. Participation in the RFI process does not infer any preferential or special status on those individuals and organisations if the Contracting Authority subsequently issue a competitive tender process.
