Hertfordshire County Council is currently out to procurement for the provision of a Body Removal Service. Hertfordshire Coroner Service is required to provide investigative and administrative service to HM Coroners for the coronial area of Hertfordshire, in accordance with the Coroners & Justice Act 2009. The Coroner Service has a requirement for the provision of Body Removal Services and is seeking suitably qualified contractors to deliver this service. Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals. This Contract will be split into the following Lots: Lot 1 Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth Lot 2 Royston Lot 3 Stevenage, Codicote, Knebworth Lot 4 Dacorum Lot 5 St Albans, Harpenden Lot 6 Welwyn, Hatfield, Potters Bar Lot 7 Broxbourne, Cheshunt Lot 8 Three Rivers Lot 9 Watford Lot 10 Bushey, Borehamwood, Radlett Lot 11 Hoddesdon Lot 12 East Herts - Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford Lot 13 East Herts - Hertford, Ware Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to 'express an interest' and also 'opt in' which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system. To be considered as a Tenderer you must complete and submit a Tender by the deadline of 1200 on Monday 1st July 2024. Please allow sufficient time to make your return, as Tender submissions cannot be uploaded and submitted after this return deadline. Please ensure that where possible documents are uploaded as a PDF and that file names are succinct. Any questions relating to this procurement must be made via correspondence on the website, in accordance with the procurement documents, and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above. Tenderers should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed.
