Die ausgeschriebene Laserschweißzelle soll als Technikumszelle fungieren und Ergebnisse im Bereich der Forschung und Entwicklung sowie der Produktion von Kabelbäumen und Batteriekomponenten liefern. Eine hohe Flexibilität und Adaptierbarkeit des Gesamtsystems ist dabei von Nöten. Hierfür soll die Scanneroptik des Lasers mittels Knickarmroboter gesteuert und Baugruppen über manuelle Aufspannmöglichkeiten mit einen mobilen Schweißtisch für die Schweißaufgaben gehandhabt werden können. Die Laserschweißzelle ist für den Standort Nürnberg als CE-konforme Komplettlösung gedacht.
