This is a contract award notice to detail that the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority formed on the 7th May 2024 acting on behalf of itself and the Chief Constable of North Yorkshire and acting on behalf of the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority has carried out a further competition via the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation Framework, Network and Telecommunications Solution Reference 976 - Lot 1 The further competition detailed two lots one for North Yorkshire Police and one for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. Since the formation in 2019 of enableNY (North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service) many areas of the Estates are shared by both organisations the vision is to have a collaborative approach to deliver opportunities to reduce costs for multi occupancy buildings. The outcome although in two lots is to have one supplier to support a collaborative approach across both organisations which enhances the ability for North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service as Category 1 responders under the Civil Contingencies Act 2024. Lot 1 - WAN North Yorkshire Police: Wide Area Network (WAN) - North Yorkshire Police Wide Area Network Services for North Yorkshire Police, although the contract was detailed in separate lots the outcome is for a collaborative approach for Police and Fire under one contract under the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Since the formation of enableNY (North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service) many areas of the Estates are shared by both organisations. Lot 2- North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue: WAN - North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Wide Area Network Services for North Yorkshire Fire although the contract was detailed in separate lots the outcome is for a collaborative approach for Police and Fire under one contract under the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Since the formation of enableNY (North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service) many areas of the Estates are shared by both organisations. The vision is to have a collaborative approach to deliver efficiencies and reduce costs for multi occupancy buildings. Additional information: The commencement date of the contract is 27/09/24 The contract is for an initial period of 60 months with 2 x 12 months optional extensions
