Description

GCID (Glasgow City Innovation District) (administered by the University of Strathclyde) has been awarded UK Govt Shared Prosperity Fuding to deliver a Venture Studio – a series of innovation programmes across 4 pillars of activity where multiple projects and businesses collaborate. This pillar, Make Pillar, offers a highly interactive space where diverse projects and businesses collaborate to bring their visions to life. The Supplier will be responsible for delivering a hands-on innovation development programme that will help companies (early stage and established) to design, prototype and prepare a new product or service. Lot 1: The Glasgow City Innovation District is seeking a supplier who will be responsible for delivering a hands-on innovation development programme that will help companies (early stage and established) to design, prototype and prepare a new product or service. The Supplier will be responsible for outlining a delivery programme that supports up to 12 innovators to deliver tangible, commercialisable outputs whether the starting point is a sketch of a concept or a prototype requiring refinement. There will be three components to this support: - Design Thinking: Delivering expert-led workshops and sessions that teach the principles of design thinking—a creative problem-solving approach that ensures products are not only innovative but also user-centred, and this will require an element of real market testing. - Develop innovation assets: Access to expertise, tools, technologies and methodologies that enable the creation of prototypes and refine product designs effectively. - Networking and collaborative workspaces with existing strategists, designers and communicators. - Build a sustainable community of makers and mentors within GCID that will continue beyond this programme. The Supplier will also be required to assess participants (in conjunction with GCID) to determine if grant support should be awarded during the programme to allow participants to progress their innovation.
