MRI 1.5T for Østfold Hospital Trust

The contracting authority shall procure MRI 1.5T for Østfold Hospital Moss including options for disassembly and disposal of the existing MRI: Siemens Avanto 1.5T from 2009 with the following gradients 33 mT/m@125 T/m/s and software NUMARIS/4, version: syngo MR B 19. Coils: Spine-Matrix coil , Neck-Matrix coil, Head-Matrix coil, Shoulder coils small/large, T/R Knee-coil, Foot-ankle-coil, 2 Body-array-coils , 2 flex-coil small/large and Peripheral angio 16. Lot 1: The aim of the new MR 1.5T in Moss is to give a significant capacity increase in capacity in outpatient MRI. Once complete system with modern acceleration techniques is expected, facilitating high quality examinations with good production and patient flow. It is preferable to have a high end 1.5% MRI machine with dockable table. It must have high performance and wide range of applications with suitable coils and software. This includes neurology, ENT, orthopaedics, abdomen, pelvis, mammogram, angiography with and without contrast dye. MRI-guided intervention examinations are not planned. It is planned that the scanner will capture liver, prostate and heart images. The machine must facilitate whole-body examinations. An option for coils and software is wanted for this. The contracting authority wants an option for an RF cabin, possibly even to reuse the existing RF cabin. Good user-friendliness and work flow are emphasised and if possible this is desired to be assessed with a reference visit, reference check. If the COVID-19 situation prevents a site visit, a thorough detailed product presentation and/or a demonstration is desired via Skype or equivalent. Actual time for presentation and/or possible reference visits will be agreed in more detail. The contracting authority wants brief and specific descriptions of the evaluation requirements with limited reference attachments. Approx. number of planned examinations per year is 3,500 - 4,000. The total value (budget limit) of the procurement is anticipated to be approx. NOK 15 million excluding VAT, including reconstruction and disposal/trade-in price.
