The majority of the pupils that will be accessing this provision demonstrate challenging behaviour in their education setting, confidence issues and have complex needs who have interest in practical activities. Whilst the provision will be delivered in a group setting, the ability to manage and meet the needs of individuals challenging behaviour and needs will be imperative. These pupils have poor motivation and ambitions for the future so a provision that will engage the pupils in structured activities, which will help them to develop team-work, and communication skills: they need intensive support using engaging, hands-on, motivational activities. Guidance on appropriate behaviour, developing self-respect and respect for others, and reducing risk-taking behaviour is required. This provision must have Military focus. Lot 14: LOT 3 Wellbeing/Building resilience programme Many young people who access the Credu Project face adversities in their lives and need to develop the ability to adapt well to change and difficulties. As a result of their personal circumstances pupils often demonstrate challenging behaviour, confidence issues and have complex needs. We are looking for a provision that will offer additionally to statutory counselling services that can be delivered over a number of weeks. The provision must have a central focus on resilience and aim to build on areas the pupils can develop in order to achieve success in their future careers and life. We would expect a programme to explore and develop key themes such as confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, self-belief, competence, competence, problem solving, support networks, security, and connections. Providers/tenderers of this product lot will be required to be suitably qualified for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or equivalent accredited Counsellor or Counsellors that are working towards the accreditation, and are members of a professional body with experience of working with children and young people. Lot 15: LOT 4 Enterprise programme Employers often seek employees who have enterprise skills; however many pupils overlook the importance of these skills and fail to recognise or develop them in their education setting and the workplace. Young people who access the Credu programme may have challenging behaviour and complex needs but can thrive where they are allowed to be more enterprising in their approach to life, learning and their career pathway. We are looking for specific provision that will develop the skills to show initiative and resourcefulness. The design of the programme and duration of the programme can be varied but must focus on skills and aim to develop key themes such as showing initiative, risk-taking, resilience, problem solving, creativity, lateral thinking, blue-sky thinking, innovation, imagination and determination. Lot 16: LOT 5 One off projects/ workshops Many pupils who access the Credu provision have become dis-engaged and may benefit from a number of projects or workshops that aim to re-engage them with their learning or possible career pathway. The projects themselves can be varied in nature and can be delivered over a number of weeks. A specific qualification is not expected but activities should be motivational and inspire young people in a particular area. The options here are vast but could include themes such as health and fitness, sports, environmental awareness, STEM, music workshops, visual arts projects, circus skills, computing/ coding, arts and crafts, languages, a construction or engineering project. Lot 17: LOT 6 Innovation All companies awarded for product lots can be approached to develop bespoke programmes in collaboration with the requesting school or education setting. All providers will be required to complete Appendix D to list all the provision/courses they offer, to provide learners accessing this project a variety of provisions not specified in the Lots set out in this tender.
