DIAS Supply ISOS Camera, Lights and Software Equipment 2024

Published

Description

Tenders are sought for the supply of Camera Equipment, Lights and Software capable of operating in a production environment, to meet the conservation requirements for the digitization of precious books or other bound historic documents. The camera system must feature a full-frame medium format DSLR camera body of the highest professional standard, suitable for high-end digital reproduction work and compliant with the latest digital heritage standards. It should include a detachable digital back, allowing compatibility with other camera equipment, and must be capable of operating via a USB-C port. Two lenses will be required to ensure the optical precision and accuracy necessary for digital heritage applications. 1 pair of lamps, using high efficiency LEDs. Colour temperature approx. 5500K (daylight) Safe for UV and IR and flicker free. Lamps that can be moved in distance and angle in order to obtain optimal lighting conditions. A homogeneous lighting within the entire scan area is required. When old manuscripts and books are being exposed to a high light intensity, even over a short period of time, biochemical processes can be initiated that can change the characteristics of vellum, paper, ink and colour and thereby damage the originals, the use of conservation methods is a must with heat regulations and light intensity. Digital heritage software optimized for CH workflows. Features auto-crop, auto-rotate and LAB colour options. Allows for working in both TIFF and JPEG format. DIAS is looking forward to procuring Camera Equipment, Lights and Software in four possible configurations listed as separate independent lots. Tenderers may apply for all or any of the Lots listed in the table just below. Lot 1 Medium format DSLR camera body Lot 2 2 Camera Lenses Lot 3 2 Lamps + Accessories Lot 4 Software Full details can be found in Main Tender Document Tenders are sought for the supply of Camera Equipment, Lights and Software capable of operating in a production environment, to meet the conservation requirements for the digitization of precious books or other bound historic documents.
