Description
Refurbishment of the University of Westminster Marylebone Halls student accommodation block. The project comprises both external and internal refurbishments to the building. Marylebone Hall was last fully refurbished in 2007 and a full refurbishment is now due. The project includes essential elements and, if budget allows, other refurbishment items. Full details are included with the documentation. Internally, the project involves refurbishment works to the study kitchen spaces, bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms and modifications to the lift shaft to enable the elevators to serve every floor. The external changes are limited to window replacement, existing cladding repairs, and new rooftop coverings and extract fan to vent the lift lobbies. The refurbishment works and external alteration are seeking to provide improvements to the thermal efficient of the building, health and safety, fire safety and compliance with building regulations. No changes to the buildings use or number of units are proposed.
