As part of the Skills Connect offer, we are looking to deliver a series of Skills Bootcamps that meet the specific skills needs of employers within the region.  The Skills Bootcamps should support in removing barriers and improving equality of access so that participants progress towards higher levels of learning and increase participation from under-represented groups in the take-up of education. This will be achieved through ensuring the training is fully accessible to all individuals, regardless of personal circumstances or needs. Lot 90025: Lot 1: Skills Bootcamp in Telecomms Infrastructure • Number of participants: 50 minimum • Level of learning: L3-5 • GLHs: 60 The Combined Authority is seeking to contract with one training provider to deliver a Telecommunications training programme for 50 West Yorkshire residents. Please submit a separate response for each Lot you are bidding for Lot 90026: Lot 2: Skills Bootcamp in ESOL Tutor Training • Number of participants: 50 minimum • Level of learning: L3-5 • GLHs: 60 West Yorkshire’s ESOL needs are increasing. This Skills Bootcamp aims to equip a minimum of 50 participants with the skills needed to teach ESOL to learners from entry level, to English for workplace settings at Level 3 and above. The course should cover the principles of effective teaching and provide a range of teaching techniques and practical experience. Lot 90027: Lot 3: Skills Bootcamp in Fabrication and Welding • Number of participants: 30 minimum • Level of learning: L3-5 • GLHs: 60 WYCA are seeking a provider to deliver a Skills Bootcamp in Fabrication and Welding. Providers should specify the level, focus and content of the course, with a clear sectoral and employer-based rationale if there are specialisms which should be included. We anticipate the delivery will largely focus on businesses looking to upskill their workforce, or individuals with existing welding skills, looking to upskill Lot 90028: Lot 4 Skills Bootcamp in Digital Skills (to be delivered for HMP Wealstun) • Number of participants: 15 minimum • Level of learning: L3 • GLHs: 100 The course aims to introduce the opportunities within the digital sector and equip individuals with the skills to access them upon leaving prison. The course must be deliverable within the custodial environment of HMP Wealstun and course content must be accessible without an internet connection. Lot 90030: Lot 5: Skills Bootcamp in Pipe Laying and Groundworks • Number of participants: 60 minimum • Level of learning: L2 • GLHs: 60 The Combined Authority are looking to contract with a provider to be able to support the successful upskilling of construction workers in pipe laying, groundworks and associated trades. The training can be delivered to individuals who are interested in accessing new career opportunities in the sector, or to support the upskilling of current employees through the co-funded model. Lot 90031: Lot 6: Skills Bootcamp in Project Management • Number of participants: 75 minimum • Level of learning: L3-5 • GLHs: 60 The Skills Bootcamp in Project Management should be applicable across a range of sectors, occupational areas, and organisation size. It should equip individuals with the following skills: · Applying project management processes, tools and techniques · Explaining how to conceive, plan and implement a project and apply these techniques to a real-life scenario · Applying leadership and teamwork techniques Lot 90032: Lot 7: Skills Bootcamp – exclusive employer co-funded programme • Number of participants 75 minimum • Level of learning: L3-5 (except construction/logistics which can be L2) • GLHs: 60 (unless digital skills which must be 100) The success of Skills Bootcamp courses is directly related to the quality and amount of employer involvement, and responding to regional, sectoral and individual employer needs. The employer co-funded Skills Bootcamp model enables individual businesses to upskill cohorts of their existing staff in skills specific to their needs Lot 90534: Lot 8- Skills Bootcamp in Telehandler Lot 8- Skills Bootcamp in Telehandler
